Questions

Where should I put the tank?

A cool, shaded place such as a garage, basement, utility room or shed. Avoid long direct sunlight. The tank is UV-resistant, but sun shortens the life of any plastic over time.

How do I clean it before the first use?

Rinse the inside with clean water. Fill it with water and add 1 teaspoon of unscented household bleach (5–6% sodium hypochlorite) per gallon. Let it sit at least 30 minutes, drain it completely, and rinse it once more before you fill it with drinking water.

How long does stored water last?

Up to 12 months if the tank stays sealed, cool and out of the sun, without any water treatment.

Can I collect rainwater in it?

Yes. The tank does not come with fittings for a rain collection system, so you would need to buy a downspout diverter and filters separately.

Is it safe for drinking water?

The tank is made from food-grade, BPA-free plastic.

What about warranty and returns?

The tank carries the manufacturer's limited warranty. Read the details on the terms page, or text us at 801-920-6226.
